Wow! Therese has put a lot of effort into making me a fan website! Take a look! There you can sign up for news letters and get special information. You can also discuss stuff with the other incredible people I have gotten to know through my concerts and guest book these past years. The site is in Norwegian.

Lt. Glahn: Ei Plate
This is a cover I made back in '92 for my friends Thor Arne Sætherholen and Svenna Mohaugen. They released their first record with their own Norwegian songs on their own label, and the rest of us were fans and cheerleaders. I've used different techniques; aquarel, ink, pencil...there's even a little fotograph of the guys glued to the canvas (this was before scanners and Macs made everything possible). Lt. Glahn is the main caracter in Knut Hamsun's novel Pan, and the album title is simply 'A Record'. Svenna refused to have me as a backing vocalist on the same album (I tried to sound like Anneli Drecker, singing one of Bel Canto's songs to impress him, but my voice failed me from anxiety!), so I ended up doing the cover instead. I'm okay now :). We've had our laughs about that, as I invited them both to join me on my own debut album later on, To Whom It May Concern. Thor Arne sings with me on Lack of Logic and Now is Now. Svenna and Njaal did the remix on Won't Go Near You Again (secret track at end). The two of them later formed Trancylvania (NOR). This album is now very hard to get hold of, and it was the first time I illustrated a CD cover allthough I'd been illustrating proffesionally for a while. That was sort of my career until music took over. Now I only draw and paint for myself, my songs and my friends on special occasions. And from now on, for my web.

Espen Jørgensen
My friend and guitarist for many years. Espen and I have travelled the world together and he is the first to hear my new songs, and the first to understand and appreciate them or critisize them in a constructive way. He has played guitar on my four latest albums, and he produced Disconnected. He's also the only songwriter who contributes with his own song on my albums. The Thread (Definitely Me) is a song I always get a lot of compliments for, but that song is entirely written by Espen. As a guitarist he is a talented, well known veteran, capable of any style or musical direction, and he's really been exploring different types of guitar playing from heavy to country and Norwegian folk music. He won the Norwegian Grammy for Best New Band a couple of years before I had my debut, with his band Green Cortinas. I didn't know him then or when he played in I.C.Eyes, who were pop stars in Norway even earlier. He heard my first single (Won't Go Near You Again) on the radio in his hometown in '96. It made him borrow his mothers car and drive to Oslo to see me the same night. "I'm going to play in your band", he said. Yeah, right. But a few months later he did, and he became one of the main influences in my career as a musician . After we finished Disconnected he's been touring Norway with Jonas Fjeld and played with William Hut. He's now studying classical baroc guitar in Germany, once again taking a new turn as a musician, and he's as serious and capable as ever. I'm keeping an excited eye on him.
Espen and his favorite guitar (K. Yairi) is captured by Agnethe Brun, a delightful and celebrated Norwegian fotographer currently working for Dagbladet (Magasinet). Espen and I can brag about being her friends!

Deb Girnius and I...
...go back from when she first moved to Norway from the
States more than 10 years ago. But it wasn't untill fall 2001 we decided to go touring Norway
together as a duo. Between the two of us, we brought four guitars and a
bass, and had concerts all over the country. Deb is one of the most
talented singer-/songwriters and guitarists I've played with, and she is a
great entertainer.
