2006: WON’T GO NEAR YOU AGAIN back on the charts 10 years after release!

Ten years after Won't go near you again was released as my debut single, it's back on the charts. This week it's number 15 on VG-lista Topp 20 based on Itunes downloads.

 


 

2005:

New Norwegian Film festival gives me its very first award.
Larvik Film Festival opened for the first time the 7th of May 2005. The opening film was Fast Car, a documentary featuring Zap mama and me recording an album and visiting women in Africa. The topics are female circumcision, music and life.
For my contributions to the documentary and the Care recording project in Africa, they gave me their first award ever: Fannyprisen. I'm honored.
 

2004:

Sober (Hurricane's Eye 2003) Nominee for Edward Award.
The Edward Award (named after the Norwegian composer Edward Grieg) is a Norwegian award for composers and lyricists in different categories. Sober is nominated for Song of the Year (popular vocal music) together with Magnet and Folk & Røvere.
Magnet won, congratulations!


To Whom It May Concern (PolyGram 1997)
achieved The Golden Record of Sales trofee.

 

2003:

Everyone’s Honesty awarded from ISC
International Songwriting Contest call themselves the worlds biggest with entries from 60 countries and over 11.000 songs to go through. Big names in the juries. Everyone’s Honesty from the album Hurricane’s Eye (St. Cecilia Music 2003) received honorable mention in the singer/songwriter category 2003.

achieved Golden Record of Sales Award
